DHHI is the main enterprise in designing and manufacturing large submerged arc furnace in China. The products mainly include
calcium carbide furnace, ferroalloy furnace, silicon metal furnace, titanium slag furnace, etc. Since1959 when the first submerged arc
furnace was produced, DHHI has supplied over 600 sets of submerged arc furnaces to domestic and overseas customers. Till now,
DHHI has developed and put into operation the 6.3MVA-60MVA series submerged arc furnaces and meanwhile possessed complete
technology for 60MVA, 75MVA, 81MVA and 195MVA series large size furnace, raw material treatment technology, automatic tapping
technology, Intelligent plant, etc. through independent research and development and been the standard establishment unit for
submerged arc furnace industry.
DHHI unceasingly introduced advanced technology from abroad. It has ever successively introduced technologies for 25MVA
ferrosilicon furnace with bellow-type electrode column and for 25.5MVA silicon metal furnace from SMS Germany, technology for
25.5MVA closed-type calcium carbide furnace with combined holder type electrode column from ELKERM Norway technologies for
25.5MVA titanium slag furnace and for 25.5MVA ferronickel furnace from Ukraine National Titanium slag Metallurgy Design and
Research Institute and technology for 39MVA silicon metal furnace from TENOVA South Africa, and made development and
Improvement on such basis and provided internationally first-rate equipment for the customer.
DHHI unceasingly expanded the EPC projects for ore smelting furnace in recent years, has up to now become the first company that
obtained the qualification for EPC of smelting project in heavy machinery industry in China, and has become the earliest in the same
industry and contracted the most number of EPC projects. lt is capable of providing full service including overall plant design, process
design and construction, equipment design, power supply and distribution design, control design, civil work design as well as instruction
for manufacture, installation, commissioning, test run, etc. to the customer so as to shorten the construction period, reduce the project
investment and improve the project quality efficiently. As the only department of DHHI for EPC, Dalian Heavy Mechanical and Electrical
Equipment Engineering CO., Ltd. has completed many EPC projects for calcium carbide furnace and ferroalloy furnace plant
construction till now
