It is the large, key and leading enterprise in heavy machinery industry and the key enterprise for manufacture of new energy equipment in China, At present, DHHI has about 10000 employees, of which 1800 persons are engineers and technicians, total assets over CNY 20 bilion yuan. DHHI established "1 headquarters and 5 research and development bases" which cover an area of over 2 million square meters. DHHI mainly serves the basic fields of national economy such as metallurgy, port, energy, mining, engineering, traffic, logistics, shipbuilding etc, and supplies heavy and large equipment complex, product and service with high and new technical content. It has four major traditional and leading products, i.e. bulk material handling machinery, metallurgical machinery, hoisting machinery, port machinery and five major growth-type product, i.e. core components of wind turbine, large ship crankshaft, tunnel boring machine/slurry shield machine, lifting equipment for nuclear power station, high-end casting and forging.
DHHI is the main enterprise in designing and manufacturing large submerged arc furnace in China. The products mainly include calcium carbide furnace, ferroalloy furnace, silicon metal furnace, titanium slag furnace, etc. Since 1959 when the first submerged arc furnace was produced DHHI has supplied over 600 sets of submerged arc furnaces to domestic and overseas customers. Till now, DHHI has developed and put into operation the 6.3MVA-60MVA series submerged arc furnaces and meanwhile possessed complete technology for 60MVA, 75MVA, 81MVA and 195MVA series large size furnace, raw material treatment technology, automatic tapping technology, Intelligent plant, etc. through independent research and development and been the standard establishment unit for submerged arc furnace industry.
